Duct Work
Ducts are used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to deliver and remove air. These necessary airflows include supply air, return air, and exhaust air. Ducts most commonly deliver ventilation air and are one method of ensuring acceptable indoor air quality as well as thermal comfort.
A duct system is often called duct work. Planning (‘laying out’), sizing, optimizing, detailing, and finding the pressure losses through a duct system is called duct design. When it comes to the ductwork installation, the basement is the best place for your heating and cooling equipment as it provides a necessary space for your entire ductwork system. The convenience of the overhead location, allows for easy access to all elements, which contribute to ease of installation, repairs and homeowner maintenance.
